About Us
Our Goal
Lilly’s Grant Writing was created to help organizations in the community looking to make a positive change and reach their potential.
Behind the Name
Lilly’s Grant Writing was named in honor of a furry cat friend, who thanks to the the GSPCA (Galway, Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) efforts, was rescued from an abusive situation. The organization not only rescued her but lovingly brought her back to health and paid for her multiple surgeries to remove her irreversibly damaged eyes.
Lilly went on to find a happy home and never let any challenge anticipated or unanticipated stop her. Lilly did not live a long life but would inspire those who knew her, and shed light on the many organizations in the community trying to make the world just a little kinder.
About Megan
I was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona and have had the pleasure of traveling and working in many cities across the US and Ireland.
I currently call Portland, Oregon home and enjoy the sense of community here. There is a common theme among Portland’s residents in striving to make the city a better place, and one where everyone is welcome.
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Corporate Communications from Duquesne University , and a Master of Arts degree in Health Promotions from the National University of Ireland, Galway.
I have over 20 years experience in technical writing and research, and have recently begun grant writing.
I have a passion for puzzles, and arranging the pieces together to form a compelling story, blending human emotion with non refutable facts and information.
